Minnesota State Fair sets record

A few weeks ago, I wrote an article for USA TODAY about “the state of the state fair” with a Minnesota dateline. I’m happy to report back that the MN State Fair set an all-time attendance record this year!

This Minneapolis Star-Tribune story says that nearly 1.8  million people streamed onto the Fairgrounds this year. The story says, “That exceeded the old record, set in 2001, by 27,521 fairgoers.”

The story doesn’t say how many pounds of food on a stick were consumed.
