Today’s Photo Friday picture is from the Tiger Temple in western Thailand, just over 100 miles northwest of Bangkok.  The temple, run by Buddhist monks, was founded in 1994 as a sanctuary for wild animals, including several tigers. Read more about our Thai honeymoon, which took us to Bangkok, north to Chiang Dao and south to Phuket.

We went there in 2006. My wife loves Tigers and I distrust cats but it was really a unique experience!

JD – my wife, Chris, held one of the tiger’s heads in her lap. I wasn’t quite ready for that.
