Twister Water Slide on Carnival Magic

Video of the Twister water slide on the Carnival Magic

Don has been on the Carnival Magic this week as it makes its inaugural voyage through the Mediterranean. We haven’t had much contact because of the time difference and the fact that the ship’s internet was down for a day.

I have been following the proceeds on Twitter (you can too – follow hashtag #CarnivalMagic), and so far it sounds like the cruise is a hit. Standouts include the water park, a ropes course and a pub with the line’s own Thirsty Red Frog beer (which ran out on the first night, so the ship had to re-up the supply in Dubrovnik).

Med cruises in general attract a more upscale crowd than Caribbean ones for this line, a good thing to keep in mind if you’re looking into European sailings (which have been on sale across the board this season).

We still need to work on our video skills, obviously (hello, establishing shot? where are you?) But here’s some footage Don took of himself going down the Twister water slide. It’s 4 decks high and 303-feet long. Hope you enjoy!
