Photo Friday: Sailing on the Water

by Don Faust on June 3, 2011

One of my favorite photos of sailing: A peaceful moment on the water on our Virgin Islands cruise

Photos of Sailing

This week’s Photo Friday (#FriFotos) theme is WATER.  Pictured is a woman looking out over the peaceful water before sunset on the Arabella, a 160 ft. tri-masted tall ship.  The Arabella is part of the Windjammers sailing cruise line, and it sails  New England in the summer, the Mid-Atlantic region in the fall and the Caribbean in the winter.  This picture was taken during our Caribbean cruise in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Island and the Spanish Virgin Islands.

I’ve heard windjammers is a great company. Can’t wait to give them a try in the Caribbean.

Cheers!

Ryan – we had a great time. I loved kicking back and going barefoot on deck the whole time. It also had a very nice itinerary and the ship is big enough so you’re not bumping into others all the time, but small enough to go into bays along with the yachts.

If you read the related Arabella posts, you’ll get a fuller picture of the trip.
