Sand Turtle on Sanibel Island Beach

This week’s Photo Friday (#FriFotos) theme is SUMMER.  To me, summer means a season of shorts and flip-flops and playing on the beach.  The turtle sand sculpture pictured above was taken during an early morning walk on Sanibel Island, FL.

Jenn – pretty cool huh? Unfortunately, we can’t take credit for making it – we just happened to be walking by early enough in the morning to see it.

From the thumbnail I thought this was real! Great job!

Jenn – yeah, this one translated into a pretty good thumbnail, mainly because it takes up the whole frame. Some photos, which I think are much better don’t translate as well in smaller versions.

lol It took me a moment to understand it wasn’t real, I thought it was a pretty strange turtle!

Angela – haha! Yes, it is pretty strange. I like all the sea shell details on the turtle’s back.
